Support Worker - High Intensity Day & Awake Overnight Shifts North SideWell-established industry player since 1974Fantastic organisational culture Client focused careIn response to the needs of our clients and the community, we are increasing capacity of our services and are looking for exceptional seasoned Support Workers to work closely with our clients and their families.Eligibility criteria:To be eligible for this role you must have a MINIMUM qualification of Certificate IV in Individual Support or Mental Health and/or AT LEAST 2 years experience dealing with clients who have complex high needs. We have a large volume of clients to assist and will require good availability during the day as well as awake overnight shifts.Enrolled nurses/university students studying Paramedicine, Psychology, Mental Health, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work are welcome. Advanced qualifications in a relevant field will also be highly regarded.Some work may be in the client’s home. Clients will present with very complex support needs and may present with dual diagnosis. You will be required to complete documentation to demonstrate that services have been undertaken according to the client’s NDIS plan.For this specific role, it is ESSENTIAL that you have:At least 2 years experience working with or have knowledge of Acquired Brain Injury, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Psychosis, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s, Severe Trauma and/or PBSPsAbility to show cultural awareness / Appreciation for or in-depth knowledge of Polynesian culture a plus but not mandatoryWilling to complete further training (if applicable)Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health / Individual Support OR relevant experienceDriver’s License with own vehicle essential along with a vehicle safety checkCurrent Police Check – within the last 90 daysA current First Aid and CPR CertificateBlue/Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance CardRecruiting multiple roles in North Brisbane AreaOur clients have unique needs and we provide a broad range of support including but not limited to:Social support, Emotional Regulation and Positive Behaviour SupportTailored day to day activities and weekly planningSIL Support Overnight / Supported AccommodationFacilitating Community and Healthcare accessLight domestic duties, housework and meal preparationSelf-care – showering, grooming, mobilityPeg Feeding and Manual HandlingToileting - changing catheter bags and supporting bowel careDuring COVID-19 we have taken extensive measures to ensure we provide support safely to our clients and their families whilst looking after our valued staff.Casual and permanent part-time (after qualifying period) opportunities are now available to work with valued clients in their homes and in the community.This is only a guide as the role may evolve with the needs of our clients.
